Firefighters responded to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport Thursday night on reports of a possible engine fire involving a plane.
A post on the Reno Firefighters Association Facebook page shows firefighters spraying down the engine of a FedEx cargo plane. A photo in the comments of that post, also from the Association, shows a large fireball coming out of the engine.
The FedEx cargo plane reported a possible fire on its right engine before takeoff, according to a spokesperson for the airport.
The cargo plane returned to the gate for additional investigation.
There were no reported injuries in the incident.
A release from the Reno Tahoe International Airport on Thursday night previously said the fire department reported no active fire involving the engine.
