Fire crews in the Elko area were called to an early morning fire on Interstate 80 this morning.
At around 3:15 a.m. crews from Elko City and Elko County Fire were called to mile marker 295 on the eastbound side of Interstate 80 to a semi fire.
Assistance was provided by the Carlin Volunteer Fire Department and Lee Engine Company.
Once on scene, the fire was quickly extinguished, and the trailer and truck were inspected to make sure there were no hot spots.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
Reports say that the Nevada State Police, Elko EMS, Elko County Sheriff and NDOT all assisted, as well.
