Double major in symbolic systems (computer science, artificial intelligence, etc.) and economics from Stanford University

WRITE A BRIEF (TWO TO THREE SENTENCES) SUMMARY OF YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD ENABLE YOU TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THIS OFFICE:
I am a parent and business leader turned educator with over a decade of experience starting and growing two successful technology companies, one of which was sold. This background gives me a strong foundation in strategic decision-making, budgeting, and innovation. My time spent as a substitute teacher and tutor in Washoe County has deepened my commitment to supporting teachers and students, equipping me with the insight to effectively serve on the school board.
WHAT IS YOUR TOP PRIORITY IF ELECTED?
My top priority is to empower our teachers — the backbone of our schools. By fighting for fair wages, manageable class sizes, and strong support for classroom challenges, we can ensure teachers thrive and, in turn, provide the best education for our students.
IN JUST A FEW SENTENCES: WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FACING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND HOW WOULD YOU FIX IT?
Again, I believe the biggest problem facing our district is the lack of support for teachers. When teachers are undervalued and overburdened, it directly impacts their ability to provide the best education for our children. I would address this by advocating for fair pay, reducing class sizes, and ensuring teachers have the resources and support they need to thrive in the classroom. And as an expert in technology, I would advocate for smart investments in technology and resources that truly help teachers, rather than chasing the latest trend.
IN ONE SENTENCE: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING VOTERS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I have a track record of getting things done, not making excuses, and I look forward to bringing that drive and determination to the school board to improve our schools.
YES OR NO: WILL YOU ACCEPT THE RESULTS OF THIS ELECTION, WHETHER YOU WIN OR LOSE?
