Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada is helping local homeowners live safely and independently through no-cost home repairs, accessibility improvements and community-powered rebuilding projects. Founder Katie Pace and Vice Chair David Sirna join Sarah Johns on 2 Plus You Nevada to explain how the organization is helping seniors, veterans and low-income homeowners throughout Northern Nevada.

Since launching the local chapter in 2020, Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada has helped more than 350 families with nearly 3,000 repairs. Projects can range from wheelchair ramps and grab bars to flooring, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, decks, fencing and other critical improvements designed to make homes safer and more accessible. The organization also partners with local companies and volunteers for Rebuild Days that combine community service with hands-on team building.

Katie and David also preview the Boots & Builds Benefit Concert, featuring Northern Nevada country artist Jakota Wass. The September 20 fundraiser at The Lodge helps support Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada's work while bringing the community together for an afternoon of live music and giving back.
