Alina Dangerfield joined the KTVN 2 News Nevada team in 2024 as a News Producer. After serving as the 5 o'clock Weeknight Producer for about a year and a half, Alina decided she was ready to take on a new challenge and step in front of the camera as a Video Journalist.
Her love for journalism and writing began as a teenager when she joined her high school's newspaper, and eventually served as the editor. From there, she attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Journalism. During her program, she earned a Hearst Journalism Award for an international reporting project. Alina continued her education by earning a master's degree in Media Innovation, also at the University of Nevada.
In her free time, Alina enjoys trying out new recipes, reading, and being with family and friends. Alina also volunteers in the community and serves as an advisor for an organization at her alma mater.
