The 2 News team aspires to provide accurate, honest and balanced news coverage in all of its reporting. 2 News works tirelessly to be a constantly updated source of news and information – always telling all sides of the story without spin or bias. That coverage is available 24/7 on this website and through smartphone apps and television streaming apps.
The 2 News team also produces numerous daily newscasts which are available on television and streaming on all 2 News digital platforms. Each weekday morning, 2 News This Morning airs from 4:30am-7:00am. Each weekday afternoon and night, you can tune in to 2 News at 4:00pm, 2 News at 4:30pm, 2 News at 5:00pm, 2 News at 5:30pm, 2 News at 6:30pm, 2 News at 7:00pm and 2 News at 11:00pm. Plus, each weekend, you can watch 2 News at 5:00pm, 2 News at 6:30pm and 2 News at 11:00pm.

KTVN prides itself on being a place where employees feel at home and stay for a long time. This is most clearly evident through the many station employees who have been with the company for decades. Those types of tenures are possible because of the station’s approach to promote workers whenever possible and provide training opportunities for that advancement. Of course, the station’s beautiful high desert location in Reno along the Sierra Nevada foothills near Lake Tahoe is a plus, too!
In addition to career growth, KTVN also helps employees give back to the community by being involved in various local partnerships and events. Those include the Share Your Christmas food drive, Give 2 Live blood drive and Partners in Education giving back to local schools, teachers and students.
