Actor Khlea Thomas, well known for his role as "Zero" in "Holes", made a virtual appearance with Ms. Allie Davis' class at Bordewich Bray Elementary School, in Carson City, Wednesday, May 22. 

Thomas made the surprise visit after the fourth graders concluded a comprehensive book study of Louis Sachar's "Holes".  They followed that by watching the acclaimed movie. 

During the visit, students dressed for the occasion and eagerly discussed the book and movie with him. 

Thomas shared behind-the-scenes stories, discussed his experiences filming and answered a variety of questions.

He also emphasized the importance of persevering and friendship.  He also encouraged them to stay curious and passionate in their quest for knowledge. 

Thomas commended the students on their dedication and well thought out questions regarding the book and movie.  

"It was truly inspiring to see the excitement on my students' faces as they interacted with Khleo Thomas," Davis said. "His presence brought the story to life in a unique way and provided an unforgettable educational experience for the children."
