The California Highway Patrol in South Lake Tahoe is announcing a DUI checkpoint that will be in effect Monday night.
The checkpoint will be conducted from 7:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. on US-50 eastbound, east of 3rd Street.
Officials are asking drivers to drive slowly through the area, watch out for cones, and if you're out having drinks, use a designated driver or rideshare service.
