The U.S. Forest Service is battling a small wildfire in Blackwood Canyon.

According to posts on the Forest Service's X page, the Canyon Fire is burning in a remote area at the top of Barker Pass.

In the two hours since the Forest Service initially posted about the fire, it has grown in size from 10 feet by 10 feet to 20 feet by 20 feet.

Helicopters are also aiding in battling the blaze, and North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District and Cal Fire are providing support.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
