Tahoe Valley Elementary, Meyers Elementary, and Sierra House Elementary will be closed Thursday due to a power outage.

Lake Tahoe Unified School District says all other schools have power and will remain open as scheduled.

There's no current estimate from Liberty Utilities on when power will be restored to the affected schools. 

About 2,000 customers remain without power across the South Lake Tahoe area after high winds knocked down trees. 

Liberty Utilities says it is working on fixing issue.
