A skiing incident earlier this month resulted in the death of a man at Northstar California Resort.
Ski Patrol responded to a skier incident on the advanced Martis Trail on February 6 involving 26-year-old Nicholas Kenworthy of Los Angeles, according to a statement from the resort and a spokesperson for the Placer County Sheriff's Office.
The Truckee Fire Department took over care, and the man was pronounced dead.
“Northstar California Resort, Northstar Ski Patrol, and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest sympathy and support to our guest’s family, loved ones, and friends,” said Tara Schoedinger, Northstar Vice President & General Manager.
