The Town of Truckee will be holding a community wildfire forum this week as wildfire season approaches.
It will be held on Wednesday, May 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Tahoe Donner Clubhouse, according to a post on social media.
The forum will allow residents to gain insights into the 2025 wildfire outlook, local emergency response plans, mitigation strategies, and practical steps to prepare their homes and neighborhoods.
People will be able to hear directly from local law enforcement, fire and emergency services, utility companies, and land management agencies.
Spanish interpretation will be available, and people can attend virtually as well as in person.
The Tahoe Donner Clubhouse is located at 11509 Northwoods Boulevard in Truckee.
