Charlie Kirk Vigil

On Friday night, a vigil was held in memory of Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist who was fatally shot this week.

During the vigil, many gathered together to honor him and to feel united as a community.

During the vigil, Bruce Parks, the Chairman of the Washoe County Republican Party, spoke and said, "We have to be able to come together and have dialogue, not bullets."

George "Eddie" Lorton, who is running for Mayor, said, "I think free speech means something. Words shouldn't kill people, so we're here to support him, his lovely wife, and his beautiful children. I don't think people should be afraid of criminals. The good outweighs the bad, so God is good. I hope we can move forward and not be afraid of things and protect each other and stand up for each other."
