According to NV Energy's website, only 29 customers are still being affected by this outage. The estimated time of restoration is currently being re-evaluated.

Original story May 18, 10:30 a.m.:

First responders are on scene of what appears to be a semi-truck that struck a power pole.

They have all lanes heading south on S. Virginia Street closed at S. Hills Drive. Drivers should take another route.

It's also causing an outage for about 280 NV Energy customers in that area. As of now, there is no estimate on when power will be restored.

We have reached out to the Reno Fire Department and will provide any updates on the crash in this article.
