A man faces a felony destruction of property charge after allegedly smashing a business window with a chain along Wells Avenue early Sunday night.
Deputies say they got a call from the owner – who lives above the business – after hearing breaking glass and seeing someone below.
Deputies say the owner captured video of the person smashing the window and then later saw the suspect walk away.
Patrolling officers were shown that video by the owner – and within an hour, deputies found the suspect outside of Diamonds Casino with the same chain believed to have been used in the smashing.
After an interview, the suspect was arrested and then booked into the Washoe County Jail on Felony Destruction of Property (Destroy or Injure Property of Another, $5,000 or greater) and False Statement to Obstruct.
The suspect's name hasn't released.
