EPA To Dispose Of Toxic Waste In Ohio After Derailment

The Environmental Protection Agency says it will make sure all the toxic waste from the site of a train derailment in Ohio is disposed in a safe and lawful way.

The federal lawsuit also seeks to force the company to pay for groundwater and soil monitoring in the years to come.Â
The company said that the settlement doesn't include or constitute any admission of liability, wrongdoing, or fault.
The freight train derailment in the village near the Pennsylvania state line included 11 cars transporting hazardous materials.
