Washoe County Parks hosted Farm Day at Rancho San Rafael Park on Sunday.
The event lasted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nevada Farms and Families area and was free to the community.Â
Attendees got to meet farm animals from Valley Amigos Ranch and 4-H, create crafts, learn about insects, play corn hole with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful, check out antique tractors and engines, meet Master Gardeners handing out seed bombs, listen to the Washoe County Librarians during story time, check out a book from the new bookmobile, and more.
Short Tail Coffee was there with snack and drinks available for purchase.
"It's just a way for the whole community to come out, get free family fun here and see how things are done agriculture-wise, where your food comes from," said Celia Walker, park ranger for Washoe County.
