Update, 3:25 p.m.:
According to the Reno Fire Department, the brush fire was about a quarter of an acre and took place along the North McCarran Boulevard and I-580 off ramp.
Four trucks with a total of 18 personnel were able to put out the fire quickly.
No injuries were reported and the cause is still under investigation.
North McCarran Boulevard was closed for a short time but has since reopened.

Crews are responding to a fire near Northtowne Lane in Reno.
Lots of smoke is visible in the area.
According to the Nevada Department of Transportation, the two right lanes on eastbound North McCarran Boulevard are closed.
Drivers should expect delays if traveling nearby.
Please avoid the area if possible.
