Those looking to make alternate plans due to the lake's closure should know that camping in the Fernley city limits isn't allowed, except at an authorized campground or RV facility.
Roads near areas affected by the fire are open intermittently, according to a release from the City of Fernley. They can close or reopen as fire conditions or emergency operations change.
