The Hunter Fire, burning west of southwest Reno above Hunter Creek Trail, has grown in containment.
The fire, located in the Mt. Rose Wilderness area with no road access, is now 30 percent contained, according to a post on Facebook from the U.S. Forest Service.
Four rappelers were inserted, and they were supported with some engines and worked through the night.
An air attack, tankers and a helicopter worked the fire Saturday morning and will continue through the night depending on conditions.
The fire has burned an estimated 7.6 acres.
The Michael D. Thompson Trailhead (Hunter Falls) is closed until further notice. You're being asked to avoid the area.
