KTVN's over-air signal has been restored.

A KTVN transmitter issue caused by the Davis Fire has been resolved, and our signal can now be received over the air and through Dish Network and DirecTV.

A power outage on Slide Mountain cut power to our transmitter around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night.

Our facilities do have a back-up generator, but one phase of our three-phase power setup is still energized, which we believe is keeping the generators from switching on.

This affects those watching 2 News Nevada via digital satellite as well as DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse, since those all use our over-air signal to provide to their customers.

The channel has been restored for customers of Spectrum cable, and those who stream using streaming services - search for "KTVN" on your streaming service's app store to find our official app.

You can also watch our newscasts on our website, and using our mobile app on Android or iPhone.

Our team of engineers is working with fire and utility authorities to get our signal back up and running.

PBS Reno (Channel 5) will be simulcasting our 2 News Nevada newscast at 5:30 p.m. on September 11, and our 6:30 a.m. newscast on September 12.

In addition, our news ticker will be showing over all programming on KTVN to keep you up to date with the latest fire updates.
