Reno Police are asking for the public's help finding a missing and endangered elderly man who went to check on a property threatened by the Bug Fire and never came back.
87-year-old Dewey Smith is a white man described as being six feet two inches tall and 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, possibly wearing a navy-blue shirt, dark grey pants, and a white fishing hat.
He was last seen on Tuesday morning after leaving his Reno address to check on his property on Carlsbad Road in the Red Rock area.
Smith and his family had evacuated to the Reno home due to the Bug Fire.
He is believed to be driving a white 1999 GMC Truck bearing Nevada license plate 305MAF.
He has medical conditions which may cause him to become disoriented, according to his family.
