A gas leak prompted a temporary Shelter in Place order for Fernley High School on Thursday morning.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says a construction crew hit a gas line near the highway entrance.
Deputies say the students are safe, but traffic was affected in the nearby area, with no cars being allowed in or out of campus.
Buses were also affected, being temporary redirected to Fernley Intermediate School.
