The Quad County Hazmat team is responding to a report of a hazmat leak in the 1400 block of Waltham Way.

The leak was reported around 2:45 p.m. on Friday and involved 130 gallons of sulfuric acid.

Surrounding buildings in the area were evacuated and units on scene contained the leak inside the AUECC building.

Walthum Way was closed from the NV Energy to Patrick as crews worked to clean up and has since reopened. 

There have been no reported injuries.Â
