On Saturday morning, Laughing Cat Coffee Shop employees found their business broken into, vandalized, and robbed.

With both the cash register and deposit bag stolen, the business owner spoke with us about the crime.

"It's upsetting as a small business owner. We work pretty hard, and to have someone in the community come do that is upsetting to us, to the whole team, and our customers; they're all mad, too," said Steven Horn, Owner of Laughing Cat Coffee.

Security footage shows the suspect arriving at the shop on a bicycle some time before Saturday morning.

The suspect gets off their bike and sits near a ground-level window frame before attempting to break it with a rock. After successfully breaking through the window, the suspect crawls into the shop and allegedly steals the register and deposit bag.

There is no sign the suspect exits through the same spot he broke in, but can be seen getting out of and back in a white pickup truck after retrieving the bike they rode in on.

"We're working with Reno PD as well. And, you know, getting our window fixed, but we're back and we're open and ready to serve people," said Horn.

Horn says other businesses in the complex were unaffected, but that tools were stolen from the bed of a truck near the coffee shop.Â
