Narcotic Detectives spent weeks watching, tracking, and building a trafficking case in Washoe County.
On January 30, detectives with the Northern Nevada Drug Task Force, helped by Washoe County Sheriff’s Office K-9 deputies and officers with Nevada Parole and Probation, arrested a man after a monthlong investigation into the sale and distribution of methamphetamine in Washoe County.
According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office in an online post, investigators arrested 53-year-old Dennis Ennio Murroni from Reno. He was taken to the Washoe County Detention Facility and booked on multiple felony charges.
Murroni faces charges that include possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a stolen firearm, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of trafficking a controlled substance 100 to 400 plus grams, two counts of selling a controlled substance, and four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
The post said, “This investigation highlights the coordinated efforts of our teams to identify and hold accountable individuals involved in the sale and distribution of illicit drugs in our community.”
The Northern Nevada Drug Task Force is made up of detectives from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration. The group focuses on investigating and disrupting mid to high-level drug trafficking operations across Northern Nevada.
