As winter gives way to spring across northern Nevada, a familiar wildlife destination is preparing to open its gates again, bringing back daily visits and seasonal events that mark the start of a new season.
Animal Ark is reopening for the season, welcoming visitors back starting Tuesday, March 24, with regular hours and a special event planned in early April.
According to Animal Ark in an online post, the facility will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., pending any extreme Nevada weather.
The organization said it will also host “Easter at the Ark” on April 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring egg hunts for children, paper mâché egg enrichment for the animals, and other activities throughout the day.
Animal Ark said tickets for general admission and the Easter event are available on its website.
