Anthem Blue Cross Wellness Center in partnership with the Life Change Center will celebrate its first anniversary by hosting a Naloxone training event to kick-off International Overdose Awareness Day 2024.
The training event will take place on Monday, August 26 at 294 East Moana Lane Suite #25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Naloxone training event taught by the Life Change Center is free and open to all residents in the community.Â
Anthem Wellness Center says that the anniversary celebration is to reaffirm the center's commitment to the community and its well-being and to celebrate its accomplishments over the past year.
They say that in the last year, their center has been a vital resource in the community, providing access to food, housing, employment, healthcare and more.Â
Anthem says that they hope the free training will allow those who attend a new perspective towards addiction and they will help to end the stigma that surrounds drug abuse and will become part of the solution to prevent further overdoses in the community.Â
