UPDATE - Oct 12:

The Better Business Bureau's Secure Your ID Day brought 514 vehicles through its shredding event Saturday, collecting more than 2,500 pounds of food and more than $2,600 in monetary donations for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.

The food bank reported collecting 2,528 pounds of food and $2,648.81 in monetary donations. Both totals were higher than last year's event.

The annual event gives people a chance to safely shred documents while supporting local families through food donations and monetary contributions.

The Better Business Bureau, American Document Destruction, the Atlantis and 2 News Nevada thank the community for coming out and supporting this year's event. Together, the community and event partners made this year's drive even more successful than last year's, collecting more food and monetary donations for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
