A bear was trapped on Thursday morning in Mineral County and will be released back into the wild.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife teamed with personnel from the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office to capture the bear.
The bear was initially spotted in Lyons Park, according to a post on Facebook from the MCSO.
People were advised to not approach it.
In its post, the Sheriff’s Office called the incident a reminder that something needs to be done about rural areas being neglected.
The incident follows similar bear sightings in the Reno, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe areas.
