The Washoe County coroner has identified the man found dead in the Truckee River near Virginia Street in Reno early Tuesday morning. 

The coroner says 46-year-old Christopher Nyhammer of Reno died at the scene.

The cause and manner of death are pending investigation.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 7 a.m. to pull the man's body from the water.

Police say there's no threat to the public.
