Nevada Day Parade

The Nevada Day Parade is Saturday, October 31 in Carson City and many downtown streets will be closed that day, with some closing earlier in the week.

Thursday, Oct. 29 to Monday, Nov. 2

North Curry Street is closed from West Robinson Street to West Spear Street.

● Closes: Thursday, Oct. 29, at 3:00 p.m.

● Opens: Monday, Nov. 2, at 1:00 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 31: Parade Day

The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. at Carson Street and William Street. It goes south on Carson Street to about 10th Street.

The following streets are closed from 5:00 a.m. until the parade is over:

  • Carson Street: Winnie Lane to Fairview Drive
  • Parade line-up streets, west side (Carson Street to Division Street): Bath, Adaline, West Long, West Adams, West Park and Fleischmann Way
  • Parade line-up streets, east side (Carson Street to Stewart Street): East Long, East Adams, East Park and East John
  • West side cross streets (Carson Street to Curry Street): West John, Sophia, Ann, Washington, Spear, 4th, 8th and 10th
  • East side cross streets (Carson Street to Plaza Street): East Ann, Washington, Caroline, Robinson, 6th, 7th and 9th
  • West Robinson Street: Carson Street to North Curry Street
  • East 8th Street: Carson Street to South Plaza Street
  • South Stewart Street: the roundabout to Little Lane
  • Closed from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.:
  • West 2nd Street: Carson Street to South Curry Street
  • Parking lot behind McFadden Plaza: closed to parking for the Nevada Day Kids Market and Adventure Zone
  • Closed from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.:
  • Telegraph Street: Curry Street to Plaza Street
  • Proctor Street: Curry Street to Plaza Street
  • Curry Street: Robinson Street to Musser Street

Do NOT park on these streets starting at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31.

  • Park Street
  • Fleischmann Way
  • Corbett Street
  • Rice Street
  • John Street

Organizers say this area is where the parade lines up. Floats, bands and horses need all of this space. If cars are parked here, the whole parade can be delayed. If you live or work on these streets, please move your car before 5:00 a.m. Saturday.
