Truckee police have arrested a Carson City man suspected of shooting a dog inside a home on Deerfield Drive in December.
Police say Gian Mendoza Silverio was arrested Wednesday and is being held pending extradition to Nevada County.
He is expected to face felony charges of stalking, shooting an inhabited dwelling, animal cruelty and vandalism.
According to police, Mendoza Silverio specifically targeted the home where the shooting happened. Investigators say the residents did not know him and had no personal relationship with him.
