The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) donated $20,000 to The Children's Cabinet today, to support the Redfield Academy.
The Children's Cabinet Redfield Academy is dedicated to providing support for kids who may be having troubles in high school and need more individualized help.
"This donation is more than just a gift - it’s an investment in the potential of our youth. With their help, we can continue to provide a safe, supportive and empowering learning environment where students can thrive and work toward a brighter future," said Kim Young, CEO of The Children’s Cabinet.
Redfield Academy provides critical resources for teens who may be struggling in high school to help them re-engage and graduate. Each student in the program receives personalized support, counseling, transportation and more.
GSR invited this year's Redfield Academy graduating seniors to celebrate their graduation with lunch and bowling before presenting the donation.
