The City of Reno is facing a $24 million budget deficit for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2026.

Council members presented findings during a public budget workshop on Wednesday. 

The City discussed reducing operating expenses by $4 million with 5% department reductions and also utilizing $16.4 million in one-time funds. The remaining $3.7 million gap would go up for discussion at a future council meeting.
