Construction continues at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), where improvements have been in progress as of late.

According to a release from RNO, starting on Monday, August 4, airport visitors will see changes beginning along the Loop Road.

They will also see the start of two major projects that RNO is saying will transform the airport experience: the new Central Utility Plant and Police and Airport Authority Headquarters Building.

This will impact airport traffic in the following ways:

  • Lane closures will be in place along the airport's Loop Road
  • Overflow parking lots will see closures and relocations
  • Equipment and building material will be moving around in the area
  • An adjustment will be made to the overflow parking walking path

RNO encourages visiting travelers to slow down in construction zones, watching for crews, and follow signage. Also, allow yourself extra time to navigate parking.

For help with parking, visit the real-time parking tools available on the Parking page on the RNO website.

RNO is also continuing to offer $5 ride share vouchers for rides to and from the airport using promo code: RNOSummer25.
