The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is starting construction on the Veterans Roundabout Project on Monday, July 7.
According to a recent release from the RTC, this project includes the new roundabout at Veteran's Parkway and Geiger Grade Road, and the combined intersection between S. Virginia Street, Geiger Grade Road, and Mount Rose Highway.
During the construction, drivers can anticipate lane closures and detours in the area.
One lane in each direction of traffic will be kept open for the duration of the roundabout project.
In addition, a left turn lane and a through lane will be maintained in each direction at the S. Virginia St/Geiger Grade Rd/Mt Rose Highway intersection.
