Crews have pulled a man's body from Pyramid Lake, after he went missing earlier this week. 

Pyramid Lake Fire tells us the unidentified man's body was found just after 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday near the west side of the lake. 

Washoe County's RAVEN helicopter helped with the search after the man, who was on a 15-foot vessel went missing.

Update (12/24/2024, 5:45 p.m.):

According to Pyramid Lake officials, the search has been suspended for the night due to the darkness hindering search efforts - crews will pick back up tomorrow morning.

The search is for one man who was on a 15-foot vessel. Life jackets were found floating on the lake.

The search area is centered around Marina Sutcliff, which is on the middle-west side of the lake.

ORIGINAL STORY (12/24/2024, 11:30 a.m.):

Emergency crews are flying over Pyramid Lake searching for a person possibly in the water. 

The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe announced the search around 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

They tell us civil air patrol along with the Coast Guard and Pyramid Lake Police/Fire are searching. 

There's no immediate information on a description of the person or why they may be in the water.
