Deputies are investigating a hit-&-run incident in Lemmon Valley last weekend that missed two people, but killed their dog, while on a walk.

Washoe County deputies say the incident happened at approximately 9:30 p.m., near Chickadee Drive and the intersection of Deodar Way in Lemmon Valley.

Deputies say a dark-colored SUV was heading west toward Lemmon Drive when it appeared to intentionally hit the couple, but instead, the car missed the two people and killed their 11-year-old dog.

The victims describe the suspect car as a dark-colored SUV with blue license plates, possibly registered in Nevada. Currently, no additional suspect information is available.
