Downed power lines are closing a portion of U.S. 395 Alternate in New Washoe City.
U.S. 395 Alternate is closed in both directions between West Washoe Drive and Parker Ranch Road, according to a post on X from the Nevada State Police.
People are advised to avoid the area,
