Authorities say a 79-year-old man died in a crash involving a pickup truck and farm tractor on SR 290 north of Winnemucca last week.Â
Nevada Highway Patrol says the crash happened near Humboldt County mile marker 14 last Tuesday, just before 12:15 p.m.Â
NHP says Joe Frank Sicking was driving a Ford F-350 pickup north on SR 290 behind a farm tractor with fertilizer trailer when the truck hit the back of the trailer and went off the roadway into a fence.Â
Troopers say the impact also caused the John Deere 7700 tractor to separate from the Adams fertilizer trailer and stop on the shoulder, with the trailer stopping in the northbound lane.Â
NHP says the Ford driver suffered life-threatening injuries and later died on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
