A driver is dead after a rollover truck crash on SR 225 north of Elko Wednesday afternoon. 

Nevada State Police troopers say the crash happened around 2 p.m. at mile marker 24 in Elko County. 

NSP says a preliminary investigation shows a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was heading south on SR 225 when the truck went off the right side of the roadway and when the driver overcorrected, the pickup rolled over several times. 

The unidentified driver died on scene. 

NSP says no one else was inside the truck.
