A crash involving a farm tractor and a pickup north of Winnemucca kept a stretch of State Route 290 closed for several hours.
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division, the crash happened on SR-290 near Humboldt 15, just north of Winnemucca.
Troopers say a farm tractor pulling a fertilizer trailer was traveling northbound when a silver Ford F350 driving behind it hit the fertilizer trailer from the rear.
After the impact, the pickup went off the right side of the road.
The driver of the Ford, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other information about the man is being released until the next of kin is notified.
