The radio DJ who has hosted a morning music show for longer than anyone else in Reno history is set to relocate to a new radio home.

Tomorrow, Bill Schulz and his co-host Jlynn will relocate from their longtime location on KLCA/96.5 Alice to KRNO/Sunny 106.9, a sister radio station.

To co-host mornings on KODS/103.7 The River, Schulz moved to Reno 29 years ago.

Later, he relocated to KWNZ/K-Wins at 97.3, which is currently Ten Country's home, and then in 2002 he jumped to Alice.

Earlier this year, Schulz took on the role of vice president of programming and operations for the nine-station group owned by Reno Media Group, in addition to anchoring a morning show.

Beginning tomorrow, Landon Miller, who presently hosts the Alice afternoon show, will also take over the Alice mornings.

According to Schulz, a number of the Alice show's popular segments, including "Trending," "Would You Rather," and "The Impossible Question," will now air on Sunny 106.9's "Feel Good Morning Show."

Schulz says the new show will feature a lot of music and, more importantly, serve as a safe place for families to begin their days and to make them smile.

The new Sunny 106.9 show will air from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., Monday through Friday, and to kick off the workday, there will be a full hour of free commercial music starting at 8:15 a.m.
