As December gets underway, Carson Valley is getting ready to kick up its boots for its 29th annual 'Holiday Hoedown Parade of Lights' this weekend.
According to the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce website, the parade is set for Saturday, December 6, from 5 to 8 p.m.
This year’s route begins at Eddy Street along Highway 395 and continues down the highway before ending at Minden Park.
Organizers say the parade will feature floats, marching bands, color guard, and a very special guest from the North Pole.
The event is free and open to the public, and people are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to enjoy the community’s festive evening.
