Reno Police say if you're planning on celebrating the holidays this week, don't drink and drive.
RPD is stressing the importance of having a designated driver or using a rideshare service to avoid not only getting a DUI, but also hurting anyone in an intoxicated crash.
"If you are drinking, if you're at a family or a friends house, make sure that you get a safe ride. It's so easy to call an Uber or a Lyft, to get to a safe location or to get to a destination than drinking and driving," says Hunter Mercurio, Recruiting Officer, Reno Police Department.
Zero Fatalities is offering a discount code for Lyft.
Starting from Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. through Dec. 1 at 6 a.m., the first 250 riders in Nevada will receive $15 off one ride by entering the code NVSAFERIDE15 in the Lyft app or visiting the provided link here, while supplies last. Â
