The Lyon County Sheriff's Office says it arrested a non-compliant sex offender in Fernley on Tuesday.
Deputies contacted 39-year-old Joel Sanchez, a Tier I registered sex offender, and determined he was out of compliance with Nevada’s sex offender registration requirements after failing to complete a required verification by his designated verification date.
The Fernley man was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lyon County Jail where he was booked on one felony count of Violation of Sex Offender Registration.
Bail was set at $5,000.
