Sean Patrick Ringer, sex offender

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 49-year-old Fernley man for allegedly failing to comply with Nevada's sex offender registration requirements.

Deputies arrested Sean Patrick Ringer on Wednesday after determining he had failed to complete a required registration verification in August.

According to the sheriff's office, Ringer was contacted by members of the Sex Offender Task Force at the Fernley Sheriff's Office substation. When deputies told him he would be taken into custody, he allegedly resisted arrest.

Deputies were able to restrain Ringer and take him into custody.

Ringer was booked into the Lyon County Jail on felony charges of violating sex offender registration requirements and a misdemeanor charge of resisting a public officer.

His bail was set at $6,140.
