A man and woman were arrested following a traffic stop in the Fernley area on multiple drug-related charges, while the man was also charged with being a non-compliant sex offender.
The arrests happened on Tuesday, March 25, according to a release from the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
Jason Michael Vasquez
28-year-old Jason Michael Vasquez of Fernley, a passenger in the car, was found to be a non-compliant tier three sex offender in the course of the investigation following the stop.
He was booked into the Lyon County Jail on a charge of violating sexual offender requirements and multiple drug charges, including the possession of cocaine and fentanyl.
Monica Marie Coffman
The driver of the car, 25-year-old Monica Marie Coffman of Fernley, was also arrested on multiple drug charges, including possession of cocaine and fentanyl.
People are asked to report information on out-of-compliance sex offenders in Lyon County to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office Sex Offender Task Force via email to SOTF@lyon-county.org.
