South Lake Tahoe Police officers arrested a man for attempting to set the American Flag in front of the police station on fire.
Police say the 36-year-old South Lake Tahoe resident had lowered the flag and was in the process of trying to light the flag on fire when he was stopped by officers.
Officers determined that the suspect had just been released from the jail after having been arrested on Saturday for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Public Intoxication. In that arrest, police say he was shooting arrows at the Y.
Police say the suspect has been arrested six times since April of this year.
His name has not been released.
